The IRS recently issued Rev. Proc. 2023-23 in which it announced cost-of-living adjustments for [Health Savings Accounts](https://rmcgp.com/2022/12/12/health-savings-account/) (HSAs), High-Deductible Health Plans (HDHPs) and excepted benefit [Health Reimbursement Arrangements](https://www.healthcare.gov/glossary/health-reimbursement-account-hra/#:~:text=Health%20Reimbursement%20Arrangements%20(HRAs)%20are,fixed%20dollar%20amount%20per%20year.) (HRAs).

These changes will become effective in calendar year 2024 for HSAs and HDHPs and for plan years beginning in 2024 for HRAs.  With the exception of catch-up contributions to HSAs for individuals age 55 or older, all dollar limitations will increase from 2023 to 2024.  (See the chart below.)
